Ariadne winces, holding the phone away from her ear as the slurred declaration is repeated. Loudly.

“Arthur? Are you…drunk?”

“NO! Maybe. I—” and then she hears a muffled curse, a shout of laughter, and a crash before Eames comes on the line.

He sounds absolutely smug when he says, “Sorry about that. Arthur’s a touch…sloshed.”

“What did you give him?”

“Just a bottle.”

“A bottle of what?”

“Absinthe. He really, really missed you.”
